Sprint into DriveSync

Sprint, www.sprint.com, announced that IMS UBI Intelligence will be provided by Intelligent Mechatronic Systems, through the Integrated Insurance Solution portfolio, specifically for auto insurance customers. Intellimec specializes in car technology, enabling drivers to be safer and smarter and now with its connection to Sprint and UBI, insurance carriers will benefit.

The Intellimec DriveSync platform, provides hardware, logistics, support, secure data warehousing, and analytics for Sprint’s auto insurance carriers. UBI Intelligence enables insurers to develop their policy premiums based on actual driving habits and behaviors, by offering in-vehicle customizations.

By plugging a telematics device into one’s vehicle port, which allows for driving data such as distances travelled and brake and acceleration patters to be collected, consumers are able to receive lower auto insurance rates. It’s a win-win for both users and insurance companies.


The voice-powered DriveSync app provides connected car feature from hands-free texting to in-car infotainment. It driver-centric interface helps reduce driver distraction while helping motorists keep their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel.
