Carol Stream, Ill. - June 13, 2013 – Success and innovation often go hand in hand. On Wednesday evening, Connected World magazine recognized the achievements of the companies and individuals that are demonstrating results on both fronts.

The Value Chain Awards Gala honors success in the M2M and connected-devices marketplace. Held annually as a part of the Connected World Conference, the 2013 event took place June 12 at the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara, in Santa Clara, Calif.

The 2013 recipients of the Value Chain Awards and ConnectED Awards represent examples of what can be done when a company harnesses M2M to be used in business. From agriculture and energy to waste management, the winners come from a grand spectrum of vertical markets and applications.

“Making your cities cleaner. Keeping students in schools. Enhancing your sports-viewing experience. These are just a few ways this year’s award winners have found success,” says Peggy Smedley, editorial director, Connected World magazine. “And they certainly prove that in today’s tech world, it is really all about M2M.”

The Connected World magazine Value Chain Awards honor the most successful corporate adopters of M2M technology and connected devices, as well as the solution providers that help make their technology adoption a success.
